Dr. Stephen B. McCarney served on the faculty at the University of Florida-Gainesville and the University of Missouri-Columbia where he was coordinator of the Area of Behavior Disorders for seven years. Prior to receiving his doctorate in special education he was a public school teacher for three years in classrooms for students with learning and behavior problems. Dr. McCarney served as a consultant to public schools in the areas of learning and behavior problems and provided workshops and in-service presentations across the nation. His publications and educational assessment materials are used in thousands of school systems across the United States and many other countries.
